Accounting Technician

We are currently looking to fill a permanent, full-time position in our Accounting Department located at our Head Office in Saskatoon. As a key member of our team, you will thrive in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Position: Accounting Technician
Start Date: Immediate
Term: Full-time, permanent
Salary: to be determined based on qualifications and experience

Description: This position reports directly to ClearTech’s Vice President of Finance. As a member of our highly-motivated Accounting team, you are responsible for processing sales invoices, submitting information electronically to various customer information systems, creating and maintaining customer account information, issuing customer account statements, processing and responding to customer information requests and issuing daily customer invoices. Information will be shared and communication will occur by a variety of means including, but not limited to, e-mail, telephone, fax and in-person meetings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and distribute accurate customer and vendor invoices in an efficient manner
  • Set up and maintain customer account information in company ERP system (Oracle NetSuite)      
  • Work with customer service, sales and other operating functions regarding customer invoicing issues
  • Work directly with customers in resolving invoicing or account issues
  • Work with customer 3rd party accounts payable electronic invoicing systems and companies to ensure accurate and timely submission of invoices
  • Support the Accounting Department with a variety of tasks as required

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Relevant accounting education or experience in lieu of formal education
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
  • Strong keyboarding skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • While not required, familiarity with Oracle NetSuite would be an asset
